Transforming Lives Through God’s Word

The Luke Initiative for Scripture Translation (LIST) is a non-denominational Bible translation organization dedicated to ensuring that every person in Nigeria can hear and understand the Word of God in their own heart language.

LIST began as part of the Luke Partnership program in June 2004 and was officially registered in 2014. Since then, we have faithfully served alongside minority language communities—particularly those whose languages were yet to be developed or lacked Scripture translations.

Our heart is to see individuals and communities transformed through God’s Word. We work closely with the Nigerian Church, local communities, and strategic partners to:

Develop and preserve indigenous languages.
Promote literacy and education,
Translate the Scriptures into print and audio,
Encourage Scripture engagement and discipleship,
Offer story-based trauma healing programs, and
Train translators for the Jesus Film script.

Every project we undertake brings us closer to our calling — to make the message of Christ known to all peoples and tongues, empowering transformation through His Word.
